Thai Islands

In need of some major R&R, I have migrated back to Thailand! I am excited about this adventure because I really like Thailand a lot. The people are really nice and the country is beautiful!

After landing in Phuket, I decided to explore the Thai islands. In order to get there I had two options. Option one, fly for $125 each way or option two, take a bus for 5 hours to Donsak Pier for $16 and then a ferry to the first island I was visiting, Koh Samui. I opted for option two. Although the bus ride was long, I enjoyed the scenic route and save a lot of money.

After arriving in Koh Samui I settled into my room. For this trip I opted for an iconic Thai style resort. Farmer’s Resort provided just that. Located on a rice field and overlooking a lotus pond, Farmer’s Resort provided the tranquility that I desired. The rooms were extremely clean and spacious. Breakfast was included.

We decided to explore Fisherman’s Village during the day and also found ourselves there at night. This was my favorite place on the island due to amazing scenery and delectable restaurants.

Thailand is know for their Thai massages. I visited Cyan Spa located in Fisherman’s Village and got a full body message and a pedicure. The service was impeccable and the view is amazing. I enjoyed it so much, I went twice.

I ate it everyday. I enjoyed it that much!

At night I was privy to a fire show. The shows showcase acrobatics performed with fire. It is one of the best shows I have seen. There are several on the island. This one is located at Ark Bar.

After taking in the beautiful scenery in Koh Samui, I ventured off to Koh Pha-ngan Island. The ferry ride is 45 minutes from Koh Samui island and cost $6.

Once I arrived to Koh Phangan, I checked into my hotel, Varivana Resort. Varivana Resort is a new resort on the island that sits in the middle of the island. The views are impeccable from every angle of the property. Check out the pics below.
